Operations and Access at the Edges of the Map.
REF: HP-OPS-001
Paper to Purpose.
We specialize in the transition from planning to reality.
While many can plot a solution on a map, few possess the capability to execute where the map ends. We bridge the gap between technical rigor and the grit required to operate in the world’s most demanding environments—providing the expertise for the permit and the resourcefulness for the mountain.
Our proudest work is verified by a headlamp in the rain, solving the problems that weren’t supposed to exist – with a bit of humor and a lot of resourcefulness.
REF: HP-LOG-002
A Project-Specific Collective.
Our experience isn’t bound by geography, it’s defined by difficulty. We operate wherever the terrain is steep, the weather is horizontal, and/or the logistics seem “impossible.”
Halutu Pro is a mission-ready asset list. By stripping away the overhead of a traditional headquarters, we stay nimble—forming only when a project requires us to exist. We are a core team of problem solvers connected to a global network of specialized talent. We’re a group of people who are used to operating with limited support in unforgiving places, working together to provide a single point of accountability.
From supporting NASA-funded meteorite collections in Antarctica to large-scale remote military clean-ups in the Aleutians, and from climate science in Greenland to high-altitude guided mountaineering, we have a proven track record of getting the job done in demanding environments.
Our work generally falls into three categories: Remote Ops, Engineered Access, and Recreation Infrastructure. The field logs below are examples of how we navigate specific challenges in the real world.
If your project is remote, high-consequence, or simply where the road ends— I encourage you to reach out.

Operations Lead
01 // Remote Ops, Logistics & Safety
The Focus: Turning missions into reality in forbidding terrain. We provide full-lifecycle support for scientific, industrial, commercial, and government expeditions. Whether you are managing a federal research grant, scouting a location for film and reality TV, or leading a private expedition, we assume the operational burden of working in Alaska. From 120 miles offshore on the sea ice to the vertical reaches of the Taiya Inlet, we exist to bridge the gap between your objective and its field-verified completion.

02 // Engineered Access
The Focus: Solving the technical terrain gap for industrial, municipal, and private assets. We specialize in transforming high-consequence slopes into predictable corridors of travel. By integrating stainless steel progression aids with permanent industrial rigging, we offer a gradient of solutions: from simple, ice-resistant “staple/rung” steps for steep trails, to engineered (PE) fall protection for utility inspections. Whether the goal is municipal trail hardening or critical infrastructure maintenance, we can help make your vertical terrain accessible, durable, and safe in any season.

03 // REcreation Infrastructure
The Focus: Bridging the gap between engineering and guest experience. We design and build high-consequence assets that balance public access with environmental stewardship. Our background includes lead management of high-alpine structures, helicopter-assisted construction, and site evaluation in remote terrain. We specialize in helping project leads navigate complex state regulations and terrain constraints to deliver right-sized infrastructure. Whether the mission requires a fully PE-stamped, engineered system or a localized, practical solution for a remote trail, we offer a scale of service appropriate to the project’s risk and budget. With the ability to bring a Professional Engineer onto the team for stamped plans or to provide a lean, specialized build for less formal terrain, we ensure the final product is both durable and fit-for-purpose.

A Single Point of Accountability
From regulatory navigation to final field-verified completion, we provide an end-to-end solution that removes the unknown from remote project management. We handle the complexity; you get results.
As a licensed, bonded, and insured specialty contractor, Halutu Pro provides a professional layer of accountability to every project. While the faces below represent our lead coordination, the true scale of our operation is a vast, ethereal network of deep-rooted connections. We leverage lifelong professional relationships with agency partners, elite pilots, veteran tradesmen, and world-class guides to bring the exact horsepower your project requires. You get the agility of a lean crew backed by the collective expertise of Alaska’s most capable independent operators.
KEVIN KAYSER FORSTER
OPERATIONS LEAD
Two decades of navigating the Alaskan wilderness and demanding construction sites have proven that technical planning is only half the battle. The other half is the human element: the ability to make high-pressure decisions when it counts. I specialize in complex, remote operations that require more than just a checklist—they require the local intuition and adaptable strategy needed to ensure safety and completion in the tough environments.

BRIAN ROUGEUX
FIELD LEAD
Brian is usually happiest when he’s preparing high-end cuisine in the middle of a glacier—ensuring morale remains high even during the most technical scientific or alpine missions. With professional experience in Alaska, Antarctica, Greenland and South America; Brian combines a disciplined operational approach with an elite guide’s perspective, bringing a rare level of grit and genuine human connection to every project he leads in the backcountry.

JESSICA KAYSER FORSTER
PERMITTING & COMPLIANCE
Jess solves the regulatory puzzles stalling critical Alaskan projects. By bridging government agencies, industry, and community leaders, she translates complex environmental policy into results. She doesn’t just navigate permitting; she builds the consensus required to move projects forward in the country’s most demanding landscapes.

DREW RUDERMAN, PE
STRUCTURAL DESIGN
A registered Professional Engineer with a background in Alaskan oil and gas, and structural steel fabrication, he brings a practical, savvy approach to real-world problems. Whether providing stamped plans for a custom via ferrata or analyzing high-alpine loads, Drew’s expertise ensures every project is built to standard, capable of withstanding the demands of extreme, remote environments.
Let’s Talk About your Objective.
In this line of work, nothing fits cleanly in a box and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Whether your project is in the early conceptual phase or you’re facing a logistical bottleneck in the field, don’t be shy about reaching out. Send a message with the broad strokes—I’ll personally give you a call back to see how we can help.
